One of my dear friends is fulfilling her life dream to work for the Peace Corps to live and work in Africa. She's worked so hard and so long, and it's so incredible to see her finally getting the chance to attain this goal.
Most of you don't know her, but I wanted to share her blog with you in case you're interested in following her adventure. She's not on a "tourist" trip, but rather Ghana is now her new home, and Stacy eloquently and poetically tells her story -- coming from an over-privileged society in America to a place where in many cases, people earn $2 a day and cannot afford what we consider to be the simplest of amenities.
She's only just arrived there, but having read her first few entries, I am completely in awe of her strength and passion, and can't wait to read more about her new life in Ghana.
